For a while now I’ve been pondering the idea of heading out on a short trip that would involve an early morning sunrise and sleeping in my car. On Friday morning I left work a little after 3 am and drove directly to one of my favorite overlooks in Sedona after a short stop at home to get some supplies. Once parked I pulled out the down comforter I had taken from my bed, set the alarm for one hour, and got a short nap in. I woke up to temps in the low 30s and a sunrise that was starting to brighten the sky. There wasn’t as much snow as I would have liked but there is a clear dusting to be seen on the walls of Courthouse Butte.
