Running 200 miles across the northern half of Arizona the Mongollon Rim is a topographical and geological feature that forms the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau. The Mogollon Rim is characterized by its steep cliffs, which often rise more than 2,000 feet (610 meters) above the surrounding landscape, offering breathtaking vistas of the rugged terrain.
I got to the rim about an hour before dark allowing me to watch the sunset and storms cross the horizon until the lights from the cars driving the winding grade blurred into streaks and this cloud formation caught the last light of day.
