This was another one of my famous, race the sunset adventures, and while I mostly made it I ended up settling on this post-sunset shot as my favorite from the evening. Spartan Hill, where this was shot, sits a short distance from the 202 freeway in Mesa and provides an elevated and thus unobstructed view of the Superstition Mountains 10 miles away.
