Admittedly I got a late start to capturing the Northern Lights. I wasn’t initially planning on going as I wasn’t feeling very well, but I got more than a few texts from friends asking if I was going out or sending me links to news articles about it. So I headed out at midnight on Friday night and followed this up with a repeat attempt on Saturday. I struggled both nights with getting the right focus and I didn’t see any color on Saturday night at all. The following photos are the best I could do on Friday. One photo is taken from a pull out on the upper part of Hwy 88 with Four Peaks on the right side. The other is shot from Canyon Lake with Four Peaks in the middle.
