Carved in part by the Colorado River, Horseshoe Bend sits 4 miles outside of Page Arizona. The stone walls tower 1000 feet above the water below offering a distinct view of the river that has become increasingly popular over the past 10 years. A short walk from the parking lot brings you to a railing roughly centered in the bend and stretching about 20 feet, but past that you can wander right up to the edge of the drop on either side. Although we arrived with plenty of late afternoon sunlight left, Taylor and I had no problem spending the time exploring the area until well after the sun had gone down.
